Create your own tiny ceramic pieces in this playful, beginner-friendly workshop. Learn the basics of hand-building with clay, shape your ideas by hand, and decorate them with ceramic underglazes. No experience needed.
About Workshop
In this hands-on ceramic workshop, you’ll learn the basics of hand-building with clay while creating a small collection of your own tiny ceramic pieces.
We’ll start with a short introduction to clay, basic hand-building techniques, and the tools and materials we’ll be using.
You’ll then create 4-5 tiny ceramic pieces. You can make things such as:
- Tiny magnets
- Bag charms
- Small decorative pieces
- A tiny breakfast set
- Your favourite food in miniature
- Tiny cats or dogs
- Or your own small designs and ideas
Once your pieces are shaped, you’ll decorate them using underglazes. You can choose your own colours, patterns, and details to make every piece unique.
At the end of the workshop, your pieces will stay with us to dry completely before being fired in a ceramic kiln at high temperature.
Once they are ready, usually within 7-10 days, we’ll notify you so you can collect your finished ceramics from Harman Shop & Atelier. If you prefer, they can also be sent to you by post for an additional shipping fee.
You’ll leave the workshop with an introduction to hand-building ceramics and a tiny collection made completely by you.
